The skull vibration induced nystagmus test (SVINT) is a proven, robust and non invasive clinical bedside test of vestibular asymmetry. A good indicator of lesion side and not modified by central compensation. This simple test just requires a 100hz vibrator and IR video frenzel goggles to directly stimulate the hair bundle of type I inner ear hair cells of otolith and canal structures. Presented by Prof Dumas at the 2022 Barany Meeting in Madrid and covered in this special edition of Audiology Research (Freely available through MDPI after a quick and painless registration).
