Vesticam videos are automatically saved to internal storage on your Compatible Recorder Android phone (in \Internal storage\Vesticam\videos). They are labeled by patient ID/ test info/ clinician info, and date and time. You can search for any of these details (eg: all videos for Smith J) using the search button on the app.
The Vesticam App also allows you to view, rename and delete video recordings at any stage, including from the video library.
If you work in a busy Vestibular clinic with different clinicians using the same set of goggles, you may wish to group patient videos into separate folders on your android device. This might assist organisation of your records.
Setting up and renaming of folders is not available in the Vesticam App. The Photo App on the android device allows you to rename the “videos” folder to a more meaningful description (eg: by clinician or patient).
This is an optional process.
How to use Photo App to group Vesticam videos into folders.
STEP 1: Open Photo App on the Android phone/Vesticam Compatible Recorder
STEP 2: Select Menu (top left hand corner)
STEP 3: Select “Device folders”
STEP4: Select “Videos”
STEP 5: Select the three vertical dots (top right hand corner)
STEP 6: Rename device folder….
Change the name from “Videos” to “YYYY.MM.DD.Patient Name.Clinician Initials”
For example …. “2023.06.11.Fred.Smith(SD)” …
All recordings in “Videos” have now been moved to “2023.06.11.Fred.Smith(SD)”.
The Vesticam App will recreate the videos folder and continue to add new recordings into the videos folder.
Note: Renamed folders are not viewable in the Vesticam App. To view videos in renamed folders on your Vesticam Compatible Recorder/ Android Phone, you need to use the Photos App.
Renamed Folders can be copied to another storage device.
When transferring from the Phone, the videos will be found here….
