The clinical importance of the Suppression Head Impulse Test

Suppression Head Impulse (SHIMP) saccades are “more visible to the naked eye and more intuitive and easy to explain to patients” than a standard head impulse test (HIT), and can be used to complement the HIT. This case-control study provides Class III evidence that SHIMP accurately identifies patients with unilateral or bilateral vestibulopathies.
